Just before Christmas several members of the society installed the long-awaited observatory at Copthorne Prep School, next to the playing fields. Copthorne Prep is considering offering Astronomy at GCSE level and of course we are keen that they should. We are holding a joint meeting with the school next month to work out our longer-term plans. Watch this space.
