17/02/2023 – Speaker Dr. Ezzy Pearson on the 10th Anniversary of Chelyabinsk.
On 15 February 2013, a huge explosion occurred over the Russian town of Chelyabinsk. The cause – a large meteor had struck the atmosphere above the town, and broken apart, showering meteorites all over the town.
Space rock hunters from all over the world flocked to the town to track down the space rocks, including Ezzy Pearson – a space journalist reporting on the event. 10 years on, Ezzy takes a look back at the event and what we’ve learned from the Chelyabinsk meteor.
